Diabetes is a widley recognized health condition for more than 2,000 years, it has only been in recent decades that medical science has developed effective pharmaceutical medications to help treat and manage the condition. Herbal extracts  are extracted from roots, leaves and other parts of the herbal plant.Herbal extract is a liquid solution of herbs and alcohol. The dried or fresh herbs are combined with alcohol, then the solid matter is removed leaving only the oils of the herbs mixed with the alcohol.Herbal extracts are sold as dietary supplements and alternative medicine.

Health food and alternative medicine stores continue to stock some of the more popular and lasting of such remedies, which include wild cherry bark used for a poultuce on abscesses and ulcers , blueberry leaf extract , Gymnea  Sylvestre is to curb sweet tooth , Banaba ,Cinnamon , Bitter Melon which acts like an insulin to the body to give the Pancreas a rest .
